Theatre lessons – life lessons - 2010 - Ist edition - 01.01.2010 - 30.04.2010
Date: 01.01.2010 - 30.04.2010The major activity undertaken within the frameworks of the project was running creativity workshops for the actors from A Little bit Different Theatre. Their aim was to develop the theatre group, introduction of new members to the team, starting rehearsals of the new performance, and conducting four activity modules: dance, music, drama, and psychodrama therapy. Classes followed according to the plan: they took place between 01.01.2010 and 30.04.2010. The project is a continuation to the activities from the previous years. It allows for the systematic development of the participants, their acquiring new skills, on the basis of what they have already learnt. This, in turn, helps to improve the quality of our actors’ lives. It helps them to solve particular problems, with which they struggle every day:
* workshops enable them to cease the isolation of their own community
* they help to refute the untrue, infantilised image of the disabled, and the unfair stereotypes functioning about their creativity
* they enable the realisation of the individual activity of the participants’ parents, and next of kin
Thanks to the agreement, signed already in the previous year, for a subsidy from PZU Foundation we were able to begin working from the first days of January. Then, we raised other funds from MKiDN (Ministry of Culture and National Heritage) which we can now use during this year. All of this allows for work without stops, and planning next projects in advance. We began subsequent edition of the project in May.
