X Week of the Disabled - "I Am mutually in love with Krakow"

Within this year’s Week, “A little bit Different Theatre” staged a performance titled Without words (Monday, June 1, 19:00 in Groteska Theatre, Krakow). After the performance we invited our audience to participate in a panel discussion: “Theatre: therapy or art? – about the issues of the disabled people’s creativity”. During the discussion, we raised the issue of the disabled people art’s status in the public sphere, as well as the problems of the integration idea together with the activities which let it be fully realised.

Following persons took part in the discussion:

Professor Władysława Pilecka – psychologist, Member of the PAN Psychology Committee, the authoress of numerous scientific and research papers on personality development and social competence of the disabled, and the opportunities of supporting the development through psychotherapy activities

Dr Tadeusz Kornaś – theatrology expert, Theatre Department of Jagiellonian University academician, editor-in-chief of “Didaskalia” magazine, author of numerous publications, and specialist in the field of alternative theatre

Ms Anna Bielańska – head of the Polish Psychodrama Institute, member of the international board of the Psychodrama Institut für Europa, clinical psychotherapist. One of the founders of the “Psyche” theatre formed by mentally conditioned persons. The authoress of Theatre that treats.

Mr Maciej Książko – therapist, pedagogue, director of the Caritas centre for people with special needs in Krakow, founder and creator of Wjazdowa Theatre

Rachela Molicka and Jan Molicki took part in the panel as the representatives of the Association
